A full day excursion. Arrangements to be confirmed; the current plan is to meet at Corran Ferry at 09.00am, to share transport and take the 09.15 crossing.
1) The first stop is to view the coastal section between the Kilchoan Ferry slipway and Mingary Castle. Igneous cone sheets and dykes are well displayed.
2) The second stop is the coastal section at Ormsaigbeg, west of Kilchoan, to view Jurrasic fossils.
Walking boots, waterproofs and packed lunch are required. Walking poles may help some participants as the ground is rough in places and the shorelines are rocky.
