U3A geology group

A full day excursion. Arrangements to be confirmed; the current plan is to meet at the Nevis Bridge car park at 09.30am to share transport.

A series of short stops will be made while travelling west, to review the Moinian metamorphic rock succession. The main part of the day will be spent in the Glenuig and Smirisary area.

Walking boots, waterproofs and packed lunch are required. Walking poles may help some participants as the ground is rough in places and the shorelines are rocky.
